What photo works best for a Crazy Frog AI video?
Quick answer
Use a clear photo of one person looking straight at the camera with both eyes visible. The file must be JPEG, PNG or WebP and under 8 MB. Before anything is charged, the site checks that the photo shows exactly one front-facing face; if not, you get a message and nothing is charged.
The upload rules
- File type: JPEG, PNG or WebP. Other formats are refused.
- File size: under 8 MB.
- One person: the photo must show exactly one face. Very small faces in the background, such as on a poster, are ignored by the check.
- Front-facing: the main face needs to look toward the camera with both eyes visible.
- Permission: you must confirm you are the person in the photo, or that you are authorized to upload it.
How the face check works
When you press Generate, the photo is checked for faces and for whether the main face is turned toward the camera. This happens before a credit is held. If the check finds no face, more than one face, or a face that is not front-facing, you see a message saying why, and nothing is charged. If the check itself cannot run, you are asked to try again in a minute, also with no charge.
Tips for a photo that passes
- Face the camera, chin level, both eyes open and visible.
- Use even light on the face, with no strong shadow across it.
- Keep the face large enough in the frame to read clearly.
- Crop out other people, including faces in the background.
- A vertical phone photo is fine to upload; the video is still 16:9 widescreen.
Photos that fail or are not allowed
- Group photos, or two people side by side.
- Side profiles, or a face turned away from the camera.
- Photos with no clear human face. The template supports a single person's face only.
- Photos of minors, public figures, or characters you do not own. These are not allowed under our acceptable use rules, even if they pass the face check.
Privacy and deletion
Your photo is stored privately and is only used to make your video. For the face check and the video, it is sent to our processor fal, and we ask fal not to keep request history.
The photo is deleted on the same 7-day cleanup as the finished video. A photo from a failed job is deleted 7 days after the job started, and a photo uploaded before a checkout that is never paid for is deleted after 24 hours.
